The Codling Moth, Cydia pomonella, is a key pest in apple, pear, walnut and quince orchards, causing extensive fruit damage to commercial crops. The damage is produced by the larvae, which bore into fruit and feed. The pest is present in all pome fruit growing regions around the world except for Japan and some areas of China.
